I would just like to pose a rhetorical question: since when could
this be considered tough?
The Beeb characterizes VP Biden's hints as evidence that he is getting "tough" on Iran. What hints might those be?
VP Biden is hinting that the U.S. will not attempt to restrain Israel if Israel deems it necessary to take action against Iran.
This is effectively the same as saying that the French really gave it to the Nazis in WWII, when it was Americans, Brits, and Canucks landing on Normandy.
In reality, what the VP is doing is hiding behind the skirts of Israel, and the Beeb is calling it "tough". Sadly, this act of cowardice could not be delivered by the man actually in charge of American foreign policy, but, rather, by his dim-witted subordinate, who happens to be too foolish to actually be a coward.
At least the Administration is leaving foreign policy to the man who was placed on the ticket for his foreign policy "experience". Unfortunately, the man in question is VP Joe Biden. This delegation of responsibility leaves President Obama free to attempt to remake the United States into decaying Europe, without the distractions of defending the United States against foreign enemies.
